SUMMARY / OBJECTIVE:
The Facilities Director provides daily leadership of a team responsible for the maintenance and orderliness of all church-owned property, ensuring the space(s) are prepared and suitable for a full ministry schedule.    

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Works in coordination with the overall goals and objectives of Antioch Waco.
  • Assists other staff members, when needed, to support teamwork and contribute to the successful completion of their objectives and strategies.
  • Basic personal responsibilities:
    • Understand, engage and personally own the mission, vision and values of Antioch Waco and the overall church goals.
    • Maintain a vital and growing personal walk with Jesus through committed time to the Word, worship and prayer.
    • Maintain proper priorities in your home including your spouse and children (if married and/or with children).
    • Faithfully support the ministries of Antioch Waco by maintaining wise stewardship measures over the resources entrusted to you.
    • Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner to glorify Christ and further the mission and ministry purposes of Antioch Waco (Colossians 3:23-24).
ROLES SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
People Management & Development:
  • Build a healthy team that is clear on their mission, has vision to support ministries across the church, and is training toward excellence 
  • Develop, train, equip and evaluate team members through clear role descriptions, coaching, correcting and commending  
  • Model and lead the team in providing excellent customer service, collaboration and teamwork  
Janitorial Oversight: 
  • Ensure third-party janitorial service company is properly scheduled and fulfills our expectations 
  • Schedule cyclical routines for deep cleaning of heavily utilized spaces by our Facilities team 
  • Oversee the inventory of supplies and organization of janitorial closets  
General Building & Property Maintenance:  
  • Responsible for the strategy, implementation and general maintenance of building systems including lighting, roof, electric, plumbing, fire suppression, fire and burglar alarm, etc. 
  • Perform routine inspections of the campus property and buildings  
  • Prioritize and execute all maintenance work orders seeing repair to completion; at times utilizing contractors as needed to ensure maintenance issues are completed in a timely manner  
  • Execute all in-house light remodeling, and installation projects under the direction of the Executive Pastor of Operations 
  • Maintain all Facilities equipment, including but not limited to golf carts, tools, cleaning equipment and office furniture, vehicles, and trailers 
  • Serve as the primary contact for insurance claims related to property and vehicles 
  • Cultivate relationships with key vendors to ensure reliable service  
Event & Office Support:  
  • Accountable for the set-up and tear-down of events (Facilities Team Lead oversees) 
  • Collaborate with ministries to develop solutions as obstacles arise, focusing on finding a “win” for all involved    
  • Partner with the Staff Coordinator to relocate staff offices as required  
  • Oversee campus event calendaring system and policies 
Missionary Property Management:
  • Partner with the AW Missions to determine vehicle and house strategy 
  • Oversee registration, insurance claims and regular maintenance of missionary vehicles 
  • Oversee missionary house repairs and maintenance 
Campus Safety: 
  • Lead campus safety strategy with EPO  
  • Oversee scheduling of Volunteer Safety team and Sheriff deputies  
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serves as the Manager for two full-time positions: Facilities Administrator and Facilities Team Lead. As well s managing the Volunteer Safety Team leader. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:  
  • 5 years of Commercial Maintenance/Handyman Experience preferred 
  • Proven ability to lead a team and capable of delegating work and authority with close follow-up  
  • Ability to provide positive and constructive feedback for the growth of others and their projects  
  • Coachable and teachable with the ability to receive critical feedback and adjust accordingly  
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal  
  • Ability to manage multiple, simultaneous projects and tasks  
  • High level of initiative and drive

REQUIRED IF HIRED  
  • Attendance of the Antioch Discipleship School within two-years of hire 
  • Member of Antioch Waco or willing to become a member as a condition of employment
